Melissa Malatesta

MFT associate

Melissa Malatesta earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an
emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. She
works with children, adults, and families navigating anxiety, trauma,
relationship challenges, self-esteem, and life transitions. She has a
special passion for maternal mental health and supporting women through
pregnancy, postpartum, and the many changes that come with motherhood.

Melissa brings warmth, compassion, and genuine curiosity to her work. She
believes that feeling seen, heard, and understood is an important part of
the healing process. Her goal is to create a welcoming, supportive space
where clients feel comfortable exploring their emotions, gaining a deeper
understanding of themselves, and working through life’s challenges at their
own pace.

Her approach is collaborative and tailored to each client’s unique needs,
drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment-based
perspectives, and emotionally focused approaches. Melissa has also
completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

Above all, Melissa hopes to help her clients feel more confident in
themselves, build meaningful connections, and move forward with greater
clarity, self-compassion, and a sense of empowerment.
