Family & Parent Groups (Birth–12)

Family and parent groups provide education, connection, and skill-building in a supportive group setting. These groups are designed to strengthen caregiver capacity, promote shared learning, and support families navigating developmental and social-emotional challenges.

Group-based services designed to promote education, connection, and shared learning.

Groups may include:

  • Parent education and support groups
  • Parenting skills groups
  • Social-emotional development groups for children
  • Family workshops and psychoeducational groups

Group services provide families with opportunities to build skills, increase confidence, and connect with others in a supportive environment.

Parent Education & Support Group (Birth–12)

This group offers parents and caregivers a space to learn, connect, and receive guidance related to child development and family support. Topics may include understanding developmental needs, supporting emotional regulation, navigating daily routines, and reducing caregiver stress through education and peer support.

Focus areas may include:

  • Understanding child development
  • Supporting emotional regulation
  • Strengthening caregiver confidence
  • Managing daily routines and transitions
  • Reducing caregiver stress
  • Building supportive parenting strategies

Parent Training Group (Ages 3–12)

The Parent Training Group is a structured, skills-based group focused on practical strategies caregivers can use to support their child’s development and behavior. The group emphasizes developmentally appropriate approaches, emotional regulation strategies, and strengthening positive caregiver–child interactions.

Focus areas may include:

  • Developmentally informed behavior strategies (non-ABA)
  • Emotional regulation skill-building
  • Supporting communication and connection
  • Parenting through transitions and challenges
  • Strengthening family routines

Social-Emotional Development Group (Ages 4–7)

This group supports young children in building foundational social and emotional skills in a developmentally appropriate group setting. Focus areas include emotional awareness, peer interaction, self-regulation, and cooperation through guided activities and supportive group engagement.

Focus areas may include:

  • Identifying and expressing emotions
  • Developing self-regulation skills
  • Social interaction and peer engagement
  • Problem-solving and cooperation
  • Building confidence in group settings

Emotional Regulation & Social Skills Group (Ages 8–12)

Designed for older children, this group focuses on strengthening emotional regulation, social communication, and peer relationship skills. Participants learn developmentally appropriate strategies for managing emotions, navigating social situations, and building confidence in group settings.

Focus areas may include:

  • Emotional awareness and expression
  • Coping and self-regulation strategies
  • Social communication and peer relationships
  • Managing frustration and transitions
  • Building independence and confidence
