Christian Vilina
MFT Trainee
Christian is a Marriage and Family Therapy trainee currently completing his Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University, where he has developed a strong interest in psychodynamic therapy. He is particularly drawn to working with multicultural individuals, couples seeking to strengthen relationship dynamics, and clients exploring curiosity or concerns related to intimacy.
Christian’s clinical approach is grounded in curiosity, cultural awareness, and a commitment to creating a warm, reflective, and emotionally safe therapeutic space. He values thoughtful exploration, collaboration, and helping clients gain deeper insight into their relational patterns and inner experiences.
Raised in Tokyo, Japan, Christian brings a multicultural perspective that deeply informs his understanding of identity, relationships, and emotional development. He approaches clients with openness and sensitivity to diverse worldviews and lived experiences.
Prior to his graduate training, Christian earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Academy of Art University and worked in creative environments supporting children and families through play-based approaches. These experiences strengthened his ability to connect authentically, attune to emotional and relational dynamics, and collaborate with individuals across the lifespan.
Outside of the therapy room, Christian enjoys singing, staying active, and studying Italian, reflecting his ongoing interest in language, creativity, and cultural exploration. He looks forward to supporting clients with compassion, insight, and a genuine dedication to their growth.
