Joya is currently pursuing a master’s degree for dual licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling at Brandman University.  She previously received a Bachelor of Arts in theater from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York, and spent over a decade performing with her theater company in New York City and Los Angeles. She has recently made the transition into the helping profession, and she currently works as support staff in transitional housing in mid-City. She is thrilled to work with the team at Hillside Wellness Center and the community it serves.

Joya is especially passionate about the healing power of relationships, and she hopes to create an environment of safety and authenticity for everyone she serves.
